Sorry to hear, @poppydog. Can you try opening the editor from a different browser in private/incognito mode? Do you have a lot of content on the page you are trying to edit, or are you using any third party apps or scripts?

you can check if your browser is up to date on:

if not, go into google play  and check for updates.and..... up date

and just in case you are not aware... IE11 has not been updated in years so is no longer compatible/supporting with Weebly   and i guess a whole load of sites..
