Does Anyone Know How to Write HTML Code to Add to Product Details?

I sell books. My "Product Title" format is Title by Author (1984 by George Orwell), so the Products are being alphabetized by the first letter of the Title and not the Author. I don't know how to write code. I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to embed code, or to write code into the site (Theme :: HTML/CSS) that would allow me to create a Product Author Box next to Product Title Box and to alphebtize by authors last name? How would I write that code, and where is the best place for it?

@Boyle: I am sure there are number of good coders (I am not one of them) who can do it for a price. I don't believe you will have any luck getting it for free.
