I've read multiple articles in Community about this....EXACT issue. Stemming ALL the way from 2016. This is unacceptable.
My problem, like so many others, is that fonts do not accept my custom hex codes for color. My steps are as follows:
1. Highlight text.
2. Click the underlined 'A' that shows in the menu bar.
3. Type in my color code.
4. Notice the text has been de-selected, and has not taken my color.
This is a long recurring issue and is TERRIBLE for branding. Yes, I have tried Chrome and Firefox. Yes, I have went into the "Themes" menu to override all font colors. Nothing is sticking. It's time to update the site's code, or at the very least, provide more default colors than the gross tints we have available.
Quick edit to say that my attempts have succeeded twice and no more. This is the page. https://breioom.weebly.com/commissions.html

One more edit: I have noticed that if I refresh the editor, select my text, and go to change the color, it seems the hex code shows up as #000000. Whenever this is the case, I can freely change the color and it is accepted. This is however still an issue, as I will have to publish and refresh with each change.

It's as if the color editor does not refresh when clicking off of, and clicking back into it. The solution is to simply publish your page, refresh the editor, and then input your color hex code. Rinse and repeat for any other color changes.

Thanks for your post, @breioom.
I wouldn't really describe it as an effective work around, but I'm glad refreshing seems to at least provide some way to change the color. I think it has been challenging to troubleshoot this because it's hard for our team to reproduce.

Hi there Adam!
I apologize for my more aggressive-than-passive post, as I was at the end of my wits yesterday. (Not wholly due to my issue of course.)
I will be happy to provide video evidence of the issue and my found workaround if it would be helpful for you and anyone else on the team.
Thank you!
