Is there a way to create a list of text which would change the currently displayed picture in a gallery?

For example let's say I have 10 pictures in a gallery. But they belong to 3 different groups - pictures 1 thru 4 for group 1, 5 thru 8 for group 2 and 9 and 10 for group 3. Now, I have 3 descriptions below the gallery for each group. When I click on the text descriptions is there a way to change the currently displayed picture in the gallery to be the one from the group. Let's say I click description 2 and that will display picture 5. Clicking description 1 will display picture 1 and clicking description 3 will display picture9.

If you're not a coder yourself, though, you might want to try placing those on different pages or sections in your site, and setting up anchor links to achieve similar effects.
