Create Modifiers

Hello,

Just wondering, I just have the basic account. Am I able to add a text input box under Modifier. When I select create, there’s no option to select list option or text input box as indicated in help section. It didn’t say either whether it doesn’t apply to basic account.

Yes, product modifier. I would like to add a text input box instead of the drop down list.

Thanks for reaching out @Charms and @OgeXam The help document you are referring to is for our original editor. At this time you are not able to add a text box as a product modifier using the Square store. You can enable the "note to seller" option on checkout, though. Will that work for what you need to do?

Go to Store > Setup > Checkout, then click the "edit" button for Advanced Settings. You'll see the option there for "note to seller".

When will text boxes be added back?

I really need text boxes.  Buyers seem to forget to add things to the sellers notes. That requires emails back and fourth.  If I can just have a text box it will save a lot of headaches.

I love square, and when I saw Weebly was workign with square for their store I was hoping to get text boxes. 

I am going to start searching if there are other products that allow text boxes.

You'll find the text option in Modifiers now instead of product options; we moved it there since modifiers aren't tied to inventory like product options might be.

I cannot figure out how to create a text modifier either.

The help documents say you can pick the type of modifier, but I do not see any way of changing from a list of selections or a text box.
