Copy and paste or replicate

Sure would like a way to copy and paste an element or a group of elements.   For that matter the ability to group a set of elements and replicate would be really nice and time saving too.

Hi, dw!

You should be able to copy some elements, either to the same page or to different pages on your site. If you are using a page layout or a gallery, you'll be able to copy that set of elements. At that point, you'll be able to drag it around the current page if you need to.

However, it would be nice if you could copy select elements that perhaps do not belong to the same group. If you don't mind, please head on over to the "Vote on Features" section of the community, and add your idea there. I would love the Product Team to consider your idea as they check out that section of the community.

Thank you!

Currently we can group all elements that are adjacent to each other as a group to Copy and Move.

However, it would be great to have the ability to select elements ramdomly to add to group especially those that are not adjacent to each other.

How do you group multiple elements that are adjacent to each other? I can't figure out how to select more than one.

It depends on the group of elements. I mentioned galleries or page layout groups before. For a gallery, you can click anywhere in the gallery or on the outside border. Here is an example:

If you are using a page layout, you can click the border between the individual elements to bring up the options for the entire page layout group. Like this:

Let me know if this doesn't work for you!

Thanks, Erin, but this doesn't work for what I am trying to do.

I have 10 stacked elements (I call them boxes . . .spacer, text, graphic boxes) down the right side of each "Fresh Inspiration" blog page. I would like to be able to command-click or shift-click all of them to form a group, then copy the group and paste it onto a newly created blog page. Right now, I have to drag-build the lot . . .one by one . . .then import the graphics or copy text into each one individually. This is, needless to say, very time consuming. Then creating the links in some of the elements adds more time to the task!

Another frustration is that the copy/paste feature that IS operative doesn't work for a blog page . . .they don't show up in the "Move" option.

I'm having a similar issue.

Ok, so I click in a gallery, Then what?

I go to a new page where I want to paste the gallery but there's no paste key. (Ctlv doesn't work).

Do I first have to create a new gallery on the new page by sliding it in from the Build panel, or should it be possible (somehow) to paste directly to the new page.

Even if I first create a new gallery, how do I put the pictures in their without a paste option?

I'm must be missing something.

Square

To copy your gallery to another page, click on the element so you see it outlined in blue. Then click on the arrow at the top left corner of the element. Choose the copy option, then select the page you want to copy it to.

Not to dig up an old question...but I believe the issue is that you CAN copy elements to other pages, you CANNOT copy elements to other BLOG pages.

I would like to know as well, if there's a way of copying a group of elements...such as a table of contents (column of stacked links and images) from one blog to the next to provide better navigation.  It doesn't appear this is an option short of going to the source code of your article, copying the entire table in HTML format, and pasting it into a new code box.  Obviously, this isn't very ideal.
