Control of image size (avoid auto resizing)

I'm using coloured boxes next to images, hoping for a seamless look. On the editor it looks like the sizing is perfect (all edges match), but when you visit the website the edges don't match. And I believe for different computers the extent to which they don't match is variable (maybe depends on resolution?)

Anyway, is there a way I can manually control the size of elements (images and coloured boxes) by pixels? Or any other solution?

haha I like your username, @notOCD I seriously thought this was made with our new Square Online Store editor! Before you continue editing further with the site, what payment processor are you planning on using? If it is Square I think you would be better off rebuilding on the new editor since it's closer to the style you are already using. What did you customize on your theme? That's one downside to the new editor... no backend access at the moment.
