Changes to theme files appearing on live site before saving

Hey,

Not sure if this is a bug or not but whenever I'm making changes to some of the partial files for our site template, the changes are immediately appearing on the live site, even before being saved and/or published. As soon as the changes have updated in the preview window of the HTML/CSS editor, they are also visible on the live site if I refresh the page.

Is this new/intended behaviour?

I'm not sure is this is intended or not, @phocomelus, but I'll check and find out.

Actually, I'm not seeing this with a test site when I make changes to a Partials template, @phocomelus. I see my changes in the editor, but the live site isn't reflecting the changes.

Hey Adam, thanks for checking it out for me. Can you check this too - If you add an eCommerce store to the site, and a product, then in the Builder go to the product page to edit the Long Description... now go to Theme and then Edit HTML/CSS. Make some changes to the partials... see if it happens then?

I should also perhaps note that our site is still currently password protected. I don't know if that makes a difference too?

Ahh, thanks for that extra info. Was it only changes to eCommerce partials where you saw this? Store product pages and the Storefront are a little different than regular pages of the site, since changes there are live as soon as you make them.

Yeah, it was. Everything else seems ok until Save/Publish...

What would you suggest as the best course of action if we need to edit the partials in the future once the site goes live-live? (hopefully not something we'll have to do, but you never know!) Is there a best-practice way of setting up a 'down for maintenance' page or is un-publishing a better idea?
