BLOG SHARES - I CAN'T CONTROL THE TEXT OR IMAGE THAT IS SHARED WITH EACH BLOG!?
At present, when you share a blog to Facebook or elsewhere, there is no way to control what text or image is shown on Facebook. This makes sharing anything from my website impossible.
At present, if I share anything to my sailing audience, the blog posts to facebook and grabs a random photo from deep in the site which happens to be an old boot! Totally unrelated, ridiculous and boring. So what is a blog for exactly, if not to share and what is FB sharing for if not to encourage engagement.
Perhaps an option to add a generic image for all blogs? That would be a start. Otherwise, it is, frankly, beyond amateurish.

When you share a URL on Facebook, Facebook will scan the page for any images that meet certain critera and choose one. They do this to make sharing quicker and simpler, although sometimes it means that they might choose an image other than the one you want.
Make sure that you have at least one image in your blog post that is 200 pixels by 200 pixels, and was added with an image element. That should give Facebook at least one image from the post itself that it can use for sharing.
