Should it take this long for my site to be listed on search engines?
Hi.
I believe I followed all instructions correctly. I've entered meta keywords with separating commas (no spaces between) as I've done on another web page I set up some time ago.
What am I doing wrong now?
Last time, within a few hours, I was able to conduct a Google search for my website and it came up in the list.
This time, I waited overnight and my new site is a no-show.
Can someone please let me know what I'm doing incorrectly, or whether I'm just being impatient and need to wait a little longer?
Thanks in advance,
Craig.

Welcome to the Community, @Kreig.
I've seen a very wide range of time in regards to how long it takes Google to index a new site. Is the site linked from any other websites or on social media? That can sometimes help speed it up.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for responding.
To answer your question; No, I've not linked this site to any social media or other websites as of yet.
Since posting my original message, I've discovered it can take some time for a site to be indexed. I'm not in any rush to see it live. I'll give it some time and, if it hasn't been indexed by the end of the week, I'll either posting another message in the Weebly Community or try contacting Google directly to see where I went wrong.
Thanks again for your help.
Craig

Hi,
I'm pretty sure I did everything the same as I did before with another website I own. It's been linked and running fine for years.
This one, www.whitekeepbooks.com is still not linked in any search engine and I don't know why.
Any help you can give me would be awesome.

Thanks.
I've deleted the code from my "home" page and checked that it's in the SEO header section, which it is.
The code I was given didn't have either < or > at the beginning or end. Should I add them, leave the code as is or, try for another code?

I did that. I think it may have been missing elements. In other words, I think I received a faulty code.
I've just tried again with a new code. Fingers crossed and hoping it'll work this time.
Thanks.
