SEO site index and keywords

my site www.thehighlightguy.com has been up and running for several months. According to google search console it is indexed. However, if I am specific and search google for "the highlight guy" i get a direct result. If I search google for "sports highlight video" i am not listed anywhere. I hav those key words as part of my meta tags. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Steve

What you are missing is that there are thousands of websites that optimize for sports highlight videos. Many of them that have been around many years and get hundreds of thousands of visits weekly. You could be doing everything right, and will still never show up on the first 20 pages of search. Sorry to sound pesimistic, but it is reality. If you would key in on a specific niche that is less competitive (like "college lacross video highlights"), you may eventually get some traction, but even then, it will take time, it will also require an extensive linked social media campaign, as well as getting links from verifiable sites.

It is very difficult to build traffic from scratch, Google takes the age of the website, the amount of traffic it receives, and the number of links it has from outside sites into consideration when ranking web pages. It is an uphil battle

Are you saying Weebly does not work?

I was one f the rare individuals that was contacted by Weebly, we were advertising on the phone book and had NO website, being in the printing trade, it was much cheaper to put 10, 000 fliers in and around our area and target 25% of our State that put the same money in Keywords that people click and give us no results. as we may or may not show with 200 others that do the same thing.
A brochure hits the Dwelling and the person can read and choose not to read, but if the catchphrase is an offer and provides a benefit then it turns into a sale.

for this very reason, a Weebly representative contacted us as we were not listed online at all.

We were offered to be a free lifetime member, have all the benefits the site could offer including our own domain name. WHAT! What's a domain name..?

This person explained what a domain name was and we registered our name, and a week later he phoned us back to point our name to the Weebly site, Weebly was in the developing stage.

The catch, we had to provide information on Metadata, if the basic tools back then were manageable, and the user-friendliness of the site.

Back then, there were no paying plans the were a handful of selected individuals.

The site purpose was to provide additional information to our brochures and since June 6, 2006, we still show no ranking, we can place any keyword and you won't show up on google, the Weebly robot fails to be crawled online, why many paying members many of them are customers we recommend to boost Weebly sales in years gone by and students we taught how to layout a website or blog.

The Weebly site is not designed to be your main page, if you would like to have your main page then put a brochure, place links from your social media to your Weebly site, but do not count on ranking on page one if you use Weebly, if this was the case we would have been a paid member and use all the extra facilities that came in after, that we have no access to as the site was in its development and in its development we stayed.  If you sell sporting goods. go to the people you sold the goods too, ask them if you can film them, put them on youtube and then send a link from youtube to your site. AND then use your site to say if you want to be the cool kid on the block, you too can be with these amazing products.
