Duplicate title tags in Blog Archives

Me again!

I conducted a site audit for SEO. I apparently have Duplicate title tags - all seem to be blog archives or categories. I see this question came up before but it seemed to sit for a long time without any recommendations or resolution.

I have added H1 tags to blog titles but perhaps that doesn't address the issue of the archived ones.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if H1 tags would make a difference one way or the other. I'd be interested to see if someone has had a solution for this, since I don't think there's really a way to handle this right now. It's a common issue that happens for many blogs regardless of what site builder you use; I've always personally felt that Google could improve their reporting to recognize legitimate reasons you might have the same content on more than one page.

Thanks Adam, clearly the various site audits call out the same issue. I hope others can shed light. If I didn't use a site editor I have to wonder what would be different?

Hi @Dots ,

It's fairly common for SEO audit tools to flag paginated Blog Archive pages (as well as Category and Tag archive pages) as duplicates. I think that within Weebly, only some parts of blog templates are available for editing with a theme. What makes Weebly an easy to use platform is also what makes it restrictive in terms of what changes you can make Smiley Happy

I suggest you vote on developing this feature here

Would adding canonical tags change anything?
