Hi Randy. Sorry for the frustration. To access phone support you will first need your account pin. You can find instructions for obtaining the pin and reaching support HERE.
As far as the spacers go, there's a little trick to make sure they delete properly. Hover over the row of spacers and click the divider line between them. You will see a border highlight around the spacers with a red X in the top right corner. Click the X to delete the entire row at once. Note: This will delete all of the items within the row, or highlighted by the blue border. If there is an element you do not want to delete make sure to move it above the row first, and the redo the steps listed.
