How long does it take for the redirect to still active?

Since the old URL when opened in a browser redirects to the new url automatically,

When will it stop redirect?

What shoudl I do in the transition between the urls?

If you changed from a Weebly subdomain to a custom domain name, we keep that redirect in place indefinitely. Given time Google will update search results to reflect your custom domain name instead of the original subdomain.
