SHIPPING METHOD OPTIONS ORDER AND DEFAULT OPTION
I am based in New Zealand and we currently offer two shipping options as follows; Free Local Shipping and A New Zealand wide flat rate. My issue is the shipping method defaults to "Free Local" shipping and as a result most of our customers regardless of location don't change this to the correct shipping option for their location. This causes us a whole lot of work as we then have to contact customers direclty and take a second credit card payment for shipping. Is there any way to solve this?

Thanks for posting, @Job99. Instead of using a free rate, what if you offered a coupon for free shipping that was named for the local area? You could add it as part of the shipping description, e.g. Local customers in XYZ enter the coupon XYZ for free local shipping.
