Request refund from re-issued credit
Hi Weebly Team,
I purchased the domain transfer service and noticed that the credit ($120) is re-issued back to my account because the transfer service I requested was expired. I'm afraid that I will utilize this credit anytime soon and was wondering if it's possible for you to refund the full amount back to my credit card. Thank you so much for your help on this in advance!
Below is the original email I received in regard to re-issuing the credit from Weebly.
Dear Haena, Your pending domain transfer for haenalee.com has expired. We have cancelled your request and re-issued a credit that can be used for a domain purchase or transfer. If you'd like to try transferring your domain again, go to the Domains sectionof your Weebly account. |

Hi hnlee,
The free 1 year domain credit was apart of your 2 year starter plan, this is included with your package, you wouldn't be able to get a refund for this as it's apart of the plan. I do apologize about that. You're more than welcome to use this domain credit for a new domain, or transfer one you've owned for over 60 days.

I'm confused, @samidali. I saw that your domain was extended a number of years for you by our suppor team. Was there something else that you wanted them to do?

It isn't possible to cancel the transfer at this point, @samidali, since the domain is no longer in our Register.com account. That means it should show up at your new Registrar shortly, though.

@Adam the transfer did not go through (says a chat agent). Due date given by weebly is Thursday. It just has been two days. The transfer can be stopped.
Please look it up again.

You started the transfer 5 days ago; at this point the domain name is not in our reseller account so we can't cancel it. I didn't see in your chat where you were told that we could, just that it should complete soon.

@Adam I have no idea where your getting the wrong information. I started the transfer on 4th November. That makes two days ONLY!! I have proof screenshot.
That 5 days which I wrote in a chat is incorrect.

I request Weebly to please authoize the transfer to speed up the process. Its been quite a while now. #transfer #domain @Adam I am confused because they say you have to authorize in order to release the transfer from Weebly whereas I don't see any transfer in process on my end, on my Weebly Account. Please look into this matter and resolve my issue.
@Adam please see the attached screenshot of email I received on Saturday November 4th. Please speed up the process and transfer my domain. Don't wait will Thursday. You have my permission. Go ahead and release my domain please.
Thanks.

The date of November 9th is based on the average time of a transfer, however it doesn't mean that we'll be able to cancel it. In this case the domain has already been removed from our Register.com reseller account, so there's nothing we can do to stop it since we can't manage the domain at all now.

WHOIS databases don't usually update instantly, particularly during the relatively short duration of a transfer. For example, this database shows that the status is pendingTransfer:
