Question about changing font color in an element

Hello all,

I had a quick question hoping that someone might be able to give me guidance. I am working on a clients website on Weebly, and they would like the default text in the Newsletter element to be a different color, (Than the page wide Theme color). I have altered the Theme color, which encompasses the entire websites font color, which does change the color of the "Email" and "I agree..." font, but with that change it effects other elements like the navigation bar. Doing some research I noticed some folks had luck by adding CSS to their page, targetting the specific element to alter the text color. Would appreciate if someone could outline how this is done. Thanks.

Could you post a link to the page of your site that has the newsletter element, @MBlack? That should make it easier to figure out what you need to change.

Hi Adam,

My client doesn't want to publish the site yet, so I am at a loss for finding a url link to share. I have a screenshot to better show what I am referring to, and hope this helps in leiu of a url.

In this image, the newsletter element, the autofilled text for the text field and check box, Email and I agree to receiving marketing and promotional materials is set to the Global Text Color defined in the Theme page in the Weebly editor. I am looking to change the color of these, just in this element to white (#fffff) so that they will show more, against the blue of the background image.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmm... One thing you could try doing is using an app like Content Color Block to add a block with a color behind it, then add your form element inside of that:
