Q about Weebly Stats
Hi
I appreciate the difference between Weebly analytics vs Google but am a bit confused by discrepancies within Weebly itself. I check my stats daily and my basic benchmark is the number of page views my home page is getting even though I appreciate that people access my site via other areas of the site and I do take those numbers into consideration too. But the home page stats are always far bigger by a factor of 10 or more.
What confuses me is the line chart and how it gives a far more generous impression of popularity than the basic stats show. In the last 9 days, my site has had around 1,200 pageviews if you base it on "Top Pages" stats. However, if you add up each daily total in the graph the number is nearer 3,000.
How do I read this correctly?
Thanks to anyone who has any insight on this!

I don't really have all the answers, but for myself, the best way to get the most accurate count is to go by unique views.
I could autorefresh my page a zillion times a day and they all show up as views... but not in the unique views.
It may be that people are surfing to your page and leaving, having only went to the home page. Check your bounce rate at Alexa to find out your bounce rate. (Lower the better)
You should also factor in crawlers such as Google/Bing, etc.

Hi Just_Billy
Thanks very much for this and will take it on board - was just a bit confused as to why there was such a big difference within one tracking programme....
🙂
