Pricing for Uploading >100MB PDFs for the SCRIBD control

Hi, trying to upload a 26MB PDF for the SCRIBD control on a test site, I stumped on the Weebly file upload limits per plan (free=10MB, pro=250MB). I was wondering if, apart from Weebly's upload limitations as stated above, Scribd imposes itself limitations and there is a second subscription necessary to upload i.e. a 150MB PDF for viewing on my finished site.

Hi there. It shouldn't require a separate subscription, but can you try uploading the file directly to scribd.com? Once uploaded you should se an option to embed to a site using html code.

Then return back to the Weebly editor and use the Embed Code element to add copy/paste the code.

Hi Bernadette and thanks for the reply. I am trying to figure out how this is working and what suits me best.

In order to simply Link some PDF documents on a site page I can opt for a Weebly plan based on size-per-file & total-storage (of which all paid plans are unlimited in storage). Files will reside on the Weebly server hosting the site and the PDFs will open in the visitor's default in-browser PDF reader.

In order to Show some documents on a site, I have to use some Weebly control (app), like Scribd, that will use its own PDF reader from within the site and present the content to the visitor. If the file is hosted on Weebly I (may) need a Weebly plan. If it is hosted on Scribd I am not sure what I (may) need.

We'll see how this plays out. I'll post what I do if I see it may be helpful to anyone.

Thanks again.
