Photos not uploading in header area

Hi,

In the past few days I have had problems trying to load photos in the header area of my websites.

I select ‘Upload Image’ and then ‘Uploaded a photo from your computer’.  The image uploads.  I then press save and ‘Save to this page only’ and all I get is the spinning circle and ‘loading’.  The image never fully loads and does not save to my website.

I have rebooted my computer several times, I have cleared the cache, and I have tried a different browser.  It still does not work.  The images I am trying to load are not large files.

I am able to upload images to the pages of my site, but it is only the header photos which are not working.

Any body with any ideas, would be greatly appreciated.

I am also having this problem. I have cleared my cache and logged out and back in again.

My image size is only 489kb, and 60x600 pixels.

Hi there. It looks like you both are using older, retired themes. I recommend updating to a newer, responsive theme as the older themes no longer receive ongoing updates. Before changing your theme from Theme>Change Theme it would be a good idea to first make a copy of your website (click the three dots to the right of Edit Site on the dashboard) so that you have an idea of how many edits you will need to make. The header content will not transfer over, so you will definitely want to have the content backed up first.

Okay, I have now chosen a current theme.  Although I did not see a notification that the previous theme I was using would no longer be supported?

What happens when the theme I am now using becomes unsupported?  Will I have to change all my header photos again?

And now, the current theme I am using, does not always save my header photos when I revisit that page.  They have disappeared.  It also seems to remove text I have placed on certain pages.

Very frustrated now.

I don't think that theme will be deprecated any time soon, but if you had to switch to another one it will retain the header background images so you don't need to upload them again.
