One of my drop down menus is getting too long - it's difficult to see the last few items. I'm wondering if there is a way to make the drop down menu more than one column.

There isn't a way to split it into two columns, though you could organize them into another level subpages. For example, you could do it alphabetically, so you'd have Books > A - M > Book Name, and then Books > N - Z > Book Name.
