Mailing list question
Hi there, I have searched and searched and cannot find the answers. I currently have a mailing list sign up form on my website. I am useing the embedded one offered by Square. What I would like to know is if when people do sign up for the mailing list are they sent an "opt-in" email response? If so, where do I edit this response?
My next question is, if I decide to NOT use the embedded subscription form, but instead use an existing mailing list subscription service I have had for years, how do I do that?
Edited to add: I am using the Square version of Weebly

Thanks for your post, @JennyPat.
Have you tested submitting an entry with one of your own email addresses to see? I don't believe that the subscribe field does because filling out the form is implied consent (as compared to something like a contact form which doesn't imply consent to receive marketing emails).

Ok I tested it, and I do NOT get a Welcome email. And it does not look like I can add it without upgrading. Upgrading is WAY outside my budget. As I only send newsletters 3 to 6 times a year.
Is it possible to do mailing list sign up using a third party service? I have had and account and mailing list with verticle response for many years and would like to use it .............. if possible.

You can definitely use a third party service. I've seen a lot of sellers use MailChimp, for example. Most of them provide an option to generate code for a form, and then you include it on the website using the Embed Code section.
