How to install Facebook event codes on Weebly properly?

I have installed the the Facebook pixel code properly under settings - SEO - header code. It works perfectly. My problem is installing the Facebook event codes Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout and Purchase. I have installed them under the Custom Tracking Fields. Store - Setup - Custom Tracking Fields. But unfortunately they are not working properly. I keep getting an error code. Data not sent to Facebook. How do I correct this? I have even  called Weebly they could not help me. They said analytics is beyond their scope?..... Really? So any help would be greatly appreciated.

There may be someone here in community familiar with this. What is the code you are putting in the custom tracking fields? There is also an app that may help you out although I don't know if it is setup to work with events.

I am putting the Facebook event codes. The Add To Cart, Initiate Checkout and the Purchase event codes. I would like to track all these events to later do a retargeting campaign.

Can you post the codes so we can take a look?

The only information I could find on that error is on the Facebook Dev page:

Pixel Did Not Load

This error means that the Pixel Helper found what looks to be Facebook pixel code on your site, but the actual HTTP call was never made.

This could typically due to an error in the code, but could also occur if the pixel fires on a dynamic event (e.g. on a button click).

In that case, the error will disappear upon clicking on the button.

But, the page doesn't really go into much more detail on it.. : / I'll have to do some more digging for you, but hopefully someone more familiar with this will chime in! Smiley Very Happy

So it seems this is a bit tricky and you are definitely not the only one to run into this issue. I found this thread that may shed a little more light. Mike posted a reply that (from what I can tell) should work.

I also added product to your cart in hopes that Facebook will update on your end to show activity on the cart page. We will be able to (fingers crossed) confirm this once I receive the Abandoned Cart email. Nice site, by the way. I flunked the coconut test, though. Smiley Sad

Thank you Bernadette! This seems to be working! It's unconventional but it works. I ran a few tests and seems to be firing correctly on both the website and Facebook but I do think Weebly needs to address this problem immediately and have the tracking fields work properly. I don't know if you will receive a Abandon cart email.... I don't think I have activated that feature yet. I wanted to get this problem with the event codes corrected before we started  advertising. I'm glad you like our website... Lol... Sorry you didn't do so well on the quiz.😊

Thanks again for your help. Greatly appreciated!👍

I'm so glad to hear this! You did have abandoned cart enabled, and I did receive my reminder email. Smiley Happy

You did receive your abandon cart reminder letter?..... Nice! Ok I'm about to show my lack of knowledge here on the way some things work but when did we get your email address to be able to send the reminder?

If you click on Orders->Abandoned Cart you will see your stats. Because this feature is enabled, anytime someone gets to the checkout screen (they have to at least put their email in) and does not process the order the system will automatically send an email reminding them they left something in the cart. It's a pretty cool automated email because it comes with a link that will send the customer right back to the checkout page where they left off. Smiley Happy
