How to change my website name from the default "My Site"?

I have searched everywhere but could not find where to change my website's name. It is set to the default "My Site" despite changing mt website title. When i post the website link on facebook/email, it shows up as "My Site" instead of my website name. Any help would be appreciated.

Found the solution:

It appears that this was due to Facebook has cached an older description for the link. This cached information is being shown instead of my newer title and description.

This has nothing to with Weebly, so there isn't anything we can do on our site to change it. However, Facebook has a tool called the "URL Debugger". Submitting your address via this tool will clear the FB cache and enable FB to grab the newer information that you want it to show.

Here's the link:

Hope it can help the others in the future.

Cheers!

First double check if you published your site.

Try clearing your browser Cache or use another browser.

Go to the Settings tab, then update your site title from "My Site" to whatever you like, and then re-publish.

Before you share your site on Facebook again you'll probably need to use their debugger tool to scrape new info:

Thank you for the "solution"!!!!   It was driving me mad!  I used the Facebook Scraper (URL Debuger) and TA-DAH - fixed.  Virtual Hug to you!!!!

I've figured this out completely in-case anyone recently has stumbled upon this issue like I have.. At the top of the page where a logo would go there is filler text "My Site".. If you type whatever you want the site title to be there and then swtich back to using a graphic or turning it off the text still stays there in the background and correctly labels your site!

Hope this makes sense and is helpful!
