How to Search the Community's Archived Posts?

Hi! I keep trying to read posts in the Community that have been archived and I have no idea how to search for them. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi @lakesan

When you say archived are you referring to a Vote on Feature? Or are you trying to find a post you may have submitted in the forums? It may also help to include a reference to what you are trying to find. I have found that sometimes just going to Google and typing "weebly community" along with some key words will pull up what I'm looking for. Smiley Happy

When I search the community for a topic and find a pertinent post, but then read that it has been archived, I can't figure out how to get to your archives and search for it.

As far as I know the only posts that are archived are the Vote on Feature requests. Anything that is submitted as a question in the "How Do I" section shouldn't be archived. Is there something we can help you find?

Hi, Bernadette,

Thanks for your patience! I thought I was missing something obvious. I understand now. Actually I was looking for some additional information on adding links for Amazon Associates. I haven't even signed up for Amazon yet, but I was trying to figure out what we're allowed to do with affiliate links on our sites. I got sort of confused when I saw all these posts complaining about only being able to do 3 items per page and stuff about not creating "link farms," none of which I understand. My site is a Business site but it's mostly just a blog and I don't anticipate linking to more than one or two products sold on Amazon per blog post, so it sounds like that's pretty easy.

I watched one Weebly tutorial that explained how to place image and text for an Amazon product on a page. I wasn't quite sure how to use a hyperlink in the text to do that, though--or if that's even possible. If you know of any other Weebly tutorials for using Amazon affiliate links that would be helpful.

My site if for beginner motorcyclists and is of general interest to all motorcycle riders. I sometimes mention a product like a specific model of motorcycle boots in the blog text and would like to link from the words in the text (is that a hyperlink? Sorry for being zero tech savvy.) back to Amazon without the reader having to click on a separate image in the sidebar (just click on the text). That's all I'm contemplating right now.

Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying! I'm not too familiar with Amazon Affiliates, but do they provide an embed code? Or are you just going to take a link and try to include that in text? To hyperlink you just need to highlight the words you want to turn into the link and then click on the little link icon. Smiley Happy

Yes, they provide an embed code. So I would just use the embed element on our site for that?

Correct. Just make sure to use no more than 3 per page. Smiley Happy
