How do I set the quantity to 1 for one of a kind items

I have just stated setting up my shop here & yet can find no way of putting in a quantity. I only sell one of a kind items & so will only need to enter a quantity of 1 per each item but cannot see where I do this. The quantity box provided shows that a customer would be able to purchase more than one item which obvioulsy is not an option for me! I have looked in the 'item library' section & can see a column for stock that just shows dashs but there is no way to access this.

I have about 350 items to list & had intended to subscribe to the business plan option at the end of December ready to launch my new online shop in January 2021 but obviously I do not want to commit to any of this if I cannot set the quantity option as I wish in advance before having to pay subscription fees.

Welcome to Community, @TCM1.

The quantity box will show even when you have your inventory set to 1, although the customer won't be able to check out and purchase unless they reduce the quantity to what you actually have in stock. Click on the dash that you see for inventory and it should load a popup for you to manage inventory for the item.
