How do I rearrange images in a gallery so that new photos show up on top?

I am able to add and delete images to my gallery but unable to drag newest images to the top. Newest photos are being uploaded to the bottom.  I am not finding any type of drag and drop tool. What am I missing?

Hi, @InfraRedHeadArt. You should be able to move the photos by grabbing them and rearranging. What happens when you try to do this, and can you confirm the site/page name with the gallery? Thanks!

I am having this issue now -- when I click on an image and try to drag it, I just get a highlighted bunch of images as if I was selecting them and nothing moves. My page is margaretwrightphotography.com and it is happening on all my Portfolio pages.

Were you having the issue previously, @margaretwright When I look at the page I'm able to add/edit photos and rearrange. Perhaps it would help if you try a different browser in private/incognito mode just to make sure you are not running into a cache error.

What was your solution? Were you able reverse the order as well as manually rearrange them?

Thanks.

edit: I just found that I CAN manually rearrange them. Didn't seem to work on my previous attempt. Still don't know about the posting oder issue though.

Hi @Carvermon Is the site not updating after you arrange the images and publish? Can you let us know the site and page name you are trying to edit?

Thanks - but my issue was while building the site. I have not published yet so haven't yet run into potential layout issues on a live site. I am having publishing issues, but that's another story and probably has to do with my host (but may be related to Weebly protocol). Tempted to ask you about it here, but it's off the thread topic.

Is your Weebly site built through a third party host? We usually can't assist with accounts not hosted with us because we do not have access to the account. Smiley Sad

One thing I would definitely suggest doing is to try using a different browser in private or incognito mode. This seemed to help someone who had reached out to us on Facebook a couple weeks ago for something slightly related.

You can still post your question, though. I can let you know if it is something we are able to help with, and I can also move it to a different thread if it doesn't pertain to this conversation. Sometimes things can be related, so it's possible I may just leave it here. Smiley Happy
