How do I create an online course through my weebly website?

I have been looking for a suitable platform to launch my online courses but can't seem to find one that I really like.  I would love to just set one up on my Weebly website.  I saw a video of someone doing this but it wasn't that clear.  Can anyone help?  The course is one where there's coaching and exploration of issues rather than one where content is presented and tested - so I am not interested in quizzes but in providing feedback on assignments.

If you anyone knows a good platform also, I'd appreciate some advice.

Thanks,

@thornybee Basically you are asking people what color socks you should wear.  If I were you I would go look on the internet for sites that offer on-line classes.  Then if you like something see if that can be done in weebly.  If you dont have time to do all that perhaps services of a consultant may be appropriate.

Thanks for replying.  Maybe I wasn't clear.  What I want to know is whether it is possible to run an interactive asynchronous course from your Weebly website.  I've done a lot of research into various products but none seem to be quite right.  I need:

To be able to :

1. Have participants enrol and pay automatically

2. Have them read assignments and be able to write their answers into a secure space that they and I can read.

3. Be able to chat privately with me and generally with the others on the course.

4. Be able to download and upload assignments

5. Have my mp4 files and YouTube videos embedded that are difficult to download and copy.

6. Have the text of the course difficult to copy or download.

How about that?  I was sort of interested to see if anyone had created a course with their Weebly website and if they were willing to share how they had done it - I am pretty open-minded but not stupid enough to ask for something I hadn't already researched.  Still you weren't to know that Smiley Happy

My question is similar to yours.  I want to create a course directly on my Weebly website OR identify a plugin that is designed for Weebly.  I want to include a progress bar, but I also want to have testing capabilities. Thinkific and Teachable are not plugins but separate platforms that don't necessarily function like Weebly plugins.

Hope that someone will have the appropriate reply.

Owwlish does that. It's an LMS that works with Weebly so you can have your course right on your Weebly site without having to make a separate subdomain. https://owwlish.com/

So, I decided to try this platform, and I'm starting with the free plan first. So far so good with the setup. Actually moved my 5 week class in a couple of hours. What I would like to know is if there is a communication component that can be used for a discussion groups?

Owwlish doesn't seem to offer a way to assess students. Is that available?
