How To insert "Add to Cart" button

Anybody know how to insert "Add to Cart" button to an image linked to a product.  I want to insert this button wherevere I desire.  I'm using a standard page to place me products because I want buyers to be able to add to cart w/o having to go to see the details.  Chat was no help -  any ideas?  Many thanks

The easiest way to do that is with the product element, @pjunkin.  These can be added to any page of your site, and if you have your store mode set to "add to cart" in Store > Settings they should work how you want.

Drag one to a page of your site, then connect it to a product in your store with the popup you see.

Yes - I know how to do that.   I just want a photo (linked to the same photo in the store product list) and to a add to cart button underneath.  Very simple but I guess not really.

Sorry if I misunderstood what you wanted to add, @pjunkin.  You'd probably need to add some theme customizations to fully hide everything.  The advanced options of the product options can probably get you close if you hide the price and description.

Yes I'm hiding everything but the title.  Thanks for your help anyway

I'm not sure what you mean, @iwona. Does the shop link in your navigation load a product page?

What @iwona is trying to say and it seems pretty obvious to me is she wants to "Add To Cart" directly from a standard page and NOT from the product page, which we cannot customize the way we want to. Basically, skipping the unnecessary step of taking the user to a product page which is a very quick way of losing a lead.

I am trying to do the same thing now and I'm stuck.

Again, I add the product element to a page and when I click on "SHOP", I want that to add the product straight to my basket and not redirect me anywhere.

I recognize the need to modify the theme code for this, any help is appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to change that right now. Well... it might be possible through editing template partials for the theme in the theme editor, but I've never tried that and I couldn't guarantee that it would work.

I realize this was just two weeks ago, but any chance this issue has been remedied in some code-magical way? I have the same issue: I created a site with standard pages designed to look like product pages, not being sure whether I would sell through my Weebly site or not. Now I'm ready to sell through Weebly, and I want to just add a button to all these pages that says 'Add to Cart' and functions like Weebly's 'Add to Cart' store button, and not force another step (that looks to the user like a repetitive step) in the mix.

Any ideas/suggestions? Thank you!

I don't believe anyone has come up with a work-around yet, @weeblyuser3. I'm not sure if it would be possible without some changes on our end.

Couple of years later - but I'm curious if this ever got resolved?  I love weebly - the builder, the community, the apps, the themes.  But for goodness sake, for being an ecommerce focused tool the shopping features leave so much to be desired.  How can I bypass the product page and just include an "add to cart" button into a page?  It would give us so much more control over our customer's shopping experience!  I don't need a fully dedicated product page, and the one that's given is so badly formatted and so difficult to customize.  i would love it if someone came up with a good solution in this area

Same here (I think).

I would like to add a button to a standard page (underneath a photo) that redirects to a page where I can add up the price and the shipping costs and then turn to the paying options (which seem to work wellby the way). Nice and clean and simple.

Anyone please?

Thanks.

We still need this. How 'bout creating an add to cart shortcode that we can insert anywhere? The other thing I need is a way for people to add multiple items to a cart without having to go to each product page individually.

Idea: When you add a product element to a regular page, give an option for a single product (same one that the page is about), allow the button to say either "shop" or "add to cart" and allow the image to be made invisible. Seems like it could work within your normal coding.

I literally created a second website on wordpress in order to deal with this problem. I still use my weebly site, but the ecommerce features are so inflexible that it'll never be the better of the two.

Hi there. This is an old thread, so the information may not be relevant to your site. Can you post a link to both sites so I can get an understanding of your request? Thanks!

It may be an old thread, but I (and assuming "we") still would like to see this feature created.  The customer should be able to add multiple items to their cart from a single page, without being redirected to the product details page each time they want to add to cart.

Please help.

Thanks for voicing your support for that, @framersgallery. While there isn't a way to do this with sites built with the older editor experience, the newer editor experience has something called "quick shop" which works something like what you want. There isn't a way to convert a site from one experience to the other, though, so you'd need to create a new account build a site there to try it out and see what you think (choose the option to create an online store when making the account to make sure you get it). If you do that and want to switch to that for your site, we can move your paid services over for you.

Hello is there still no way to add an ADD TO CART or BUY NOW button anywhere on a page? I have an ecommerce site and my sales pages get long and every professional sales page has multiple buy now buttons/ add to carts (top, middle and bottom) to avoid having to scroll back to the top, someone can just click ADD TO CART or BUY NOW in the middle or bottom of the page. I've been waiting for this for years just wondering if it's coming anytime soon??

Hi @Kieran This is an older thread, but are you just trying to change your cart type to "buy now" instead of having a cart? You can change this option under Settings>Checkout>Advanced Settings.

@Bernadette No i was actually hoiping to use the products module, ( i have set add to cart anyway) but for when the customer to click this button for this actually to add to the cart rather than take them to the product page, away from the original page they clicked "add to cart on" i was trying to use this function to be able to upsell addtional items to my customers whilst on a product page
