Im trying to add an image to a page with hover text once clicked it will take to the gallery how do you that?

I would appreciate any info

Do you want only the hover text to be the link, or did you want the image itself to link to a page?

you put ur cursor ove it it tell the gallery and links to the gallery.

You can do something like that with the Gallery element and captions. Add the element to the page, add an image, then add a caption to it. It might depend on the theme, but for many of them you can have the caption display over the whole image as well as add a link to the image.
