Hide Variations in drop down menu
It's obvious how to "hide" a product, but is there a way to "hide" variations in the product drop down menu? I have different options every few weeks and it's a bit of a pain to have to re-enter information each time. Would be nice to click a "hide" button.

Unfortunately, no, although that's a really interesting idea that I haven't seen anyone ask about. If you have a moment, could you post that to our Vote on Features board, @kcn?
Are you using inventory tracking? I think the easiest way to get around that right now is to set the inventory of variation to zero. It'll still show in the list but it should at least show as out of stock.

Hi - I am very interested in an option to hide variations of products. The store is unusable for us if we can't hide the variations. We sell wine and spirits. At events and markets we also sell by the glass and we also have a whole sale option in square. For obvious reasons we can't sell by the glass online and it looks quite funny to have that in an online store at all. Similar with the whole sale option. We don't want people at home to buy 3 bottles at a highly discounted rate.
I could make new items in square but that defets the purpose of keeping track of stock if all items have to be in square twice.
It would also be necessary to have an age test option to make sure poeple are 18 years or over as it is law in many countries for liquor sales.
Thanks. Cheers, Jens

Thanks for the additional context and feedback, @JMV! Hopefully this is something that we add.

As JMV posted, we are in a similar situation where we sell glasses of wine and individual cans of beer on site but need the ability for people to order full bottles and four-packs online. PS - Even when the quantity of glasses "in-stock" is set to zero, people are able to add the items to their cart. Please advise!

There isn't a way to hide variations at this time, but this is great input for the teams. We'll make sure to pass it along during our next feedback meeting. In the meantime, the only way to get around it would be to create a separate online only item. I understand this might not work for you inventory-wise as JMV mentioned as well. Or perhaps you could add a disclaimer on the item detail page to specify certain variations are for in-person only.

I would also love to have this 'hidden variation' feature. I offer a range of colours but would like to be able to make only some available online and not all. Duplication of items to accomodate for this inability just complicates inventory tracking as mentioned before. Please, please, please add this as a feature!!!! Many thanks!
