HTTPS
Good evening. How Do I...add a https form/page to my website to allow applicants to complete an application for employment? Also, can this be done on Weebly if your host is 1and1.com?
Thanks,
Frustrated!

Hi, @CareSolutionIHS
You should be able to do this by enabling SSL. You can enable SSL by visiting your Settings tab, scrolling until you see SSL, and then clicking the enable button. You will want it for your entire site.
Please note that if you have third-party content on your pages, such as code in an embed code element where the source of that code is not https, those pages would display a message letting folks know that the site isn't secure.
Finally, the domain needs to be pointed to the specific IP address that your site is assigned to.
Please let us know if you need further help with this!
Thanks,
Erin

I want to build a free one page site using weebly to link back to our current website. We need a secure HTTPS to embed a medical payment portal html code onto. Can I do that using the instructions for enabling SSL you gave before but on a free site? The third party portal itself is protected by SSL. But to make the page secure that the portal is embedded in is our concern. Would we still receive an error code that the page isn't protected even with a protected html code?

Hey there ashrgoodrich!
SSL through Weebly would be something we'd only offer with a Business plan or above, so the information here likely wouldn't work for your purposes. Sorry for the confusion!

That's not what your pricing grid shows - it shows free SSL for Starter package and up.

How do I point the site to a specific IP address?
I have SSL enabled and I still only see http as my available url options.

Hello jweimer! Your site will have a particular IP assigned to it. If you're using an external domain, you'll want to make sure it's forwarded to that IP. A domain through Weebly will do so automatically once assigned.

Doesn't work - I have a Starter Package - the pricing matrix shows free SSL - but when I go to choose it, it tells me to upgrade. - Check out - looks like a bug.

That means that it hadn't been rolled out to your account yet, @amhey. I just checked your account now and it looks like this has happened, though, so you should be able to enable it now.

Adam, can you please help with https for my sites as well? We don't want our users to see "not secure" where http used to be! Here they are in order of importance . . .

I've made a change to your account so you should be able to enable SSL for all of those sites now, @tmfgala.

Not a problem, @kpk. I've made the same change to your account so you can enable SSL for any of your sites.
