External URL Links not working - HELP!

I am trying to put an anchor link in my page and Linking the text is not working. I highlight the text, press the link button, insert the URL and then it freezes. I've tried clicking the white box below the URL, above the URL, anwhere else in the page, (like other feeds on here suggest as a solution) and it always freezes. I get a popup that says:

"the following page has become unresponsive"

Please FIX or give me a work around. Internal links seem to be working fine? I've tried it on both IE and Chrome. HELP!

That shouldn't be happening, @JAKK. Can you try switching to another browser temporarily to see if that helps?

I actually got it working, with some help from your Weebly Chat. This is a good thing for people to know though:

You must put in the http:// or it won't work and freezes.

Also for an anchor, you must put the website with .html at the end before your #name.
