Changing Image in Header on One Page

I attempted to change the header image on one page of our website, www.shomrimillinois.org. When I upload the image from my computer, I see the image and a small dialogue box that says "loading" with a spinning circle. Nothing happens. The circle simply continues to spin. I've rebooted, cleared the cache with the same result. Help?

Hi Bruce,

I have posted about this myself a few days ago as I am experiencing the same issue.  Appears that other people are having the same problem as well.   I have sent Weebly a message about this issue but I have had no reponse.

Hopefully they fix this issue soon.

Regards,

Paul.

It's good (I guess) knowing I'm not the only one with this issue, Paul. Thanks so much.

Hi all. This error has been filed as a bug, however, I highly encourage you all to update your theme to a newer, responsive theme. We do not have an ETA for a fix and since your themes are all older, you could run into future issues. If you are going to update your theme, please first make a copy of your site from the main dashboard (click three dots to the right of Edit Site) and practice changing themes on the copy site. To change themes, click Theme>Change Theme and choose from the examples listed. All of your content will carry over (aside from the header section) but you will most likely want to make some customizations to the background images and you may want to also break your content into sections.

I have changed my theme to a new theme.  When I upload an image in the header it appears to initially save.  When I return to that page a few hours later or a day later, the image is gone.

Appears that the 'bug' is still there.

Hi @pasimmo Can you please try to open the editor in a new browser in private/incognito mode? It sounds like you might be experiencing a cache issue from the older theme. I've come across a lot of reports of the header image error, but every single reports has been an older theme. I haven't heard anyone on a newer theme bring this up yet. Not saying it's not possible, but we want to rule out any cache error first. Thanks so much! Smiley Happy

Hi Bernadette,

I have tried that and the problem is still there.

I have also cleared the cache and rebooted the computer a number of times.

I have updated my version of Chrome.

The header images appear to initially upload, but when I revisit the page an hour later for example, or the next day, the image is gone and it has reverted back to the gold header image.

Thanks,

Paul.

Thanks for verifying, Paul. Is it okay if I create a hidden test page and try to upload something from my end? Can you please verify the site name and give me permission to publish? The page will be hidden from navigation.

vk5parks.com and vk5pas.com and the websites.

I have just checked both of the websites and hours of work adding header photos, and now the majority are gone.

There is clearly an issue at Weebly's end.  I have rebooted my computer, cleared the cache and even upgraded my operating system.  The problem remains.

The pictures appear to initially save.  When I return to the page/s a few hours later, sometimes the pictures is still there, sometimes it has gone.

This issue needs to be fixed.  It is incredibly frustrating and has ruined the 2 websites.

There was an issue yesterday that was affecting uploads, although this was more generally and not specific to header images. There is a separate bug open with our engineers regarding uploading header images that I think is affecting you, @pasimmo. Hopefully they resolve this soon!
