CSS Code Assistance

Hey everybody!  

I was wondering if anybody could help me with hiding or removing the code that is giving my splash that white gradient appearance (it's part of the theme)?

I've identified it as the #gradient, however when I hide it, the text overlay no longer shows which is important to me.

Try changing the background property to none in the CSS rules for #gradient, @MissRosie:

background: none;
