It appears that Weebly is no longer onboarding clients to it's old Designer Platform and has replaced it with a new platform. I've been told that Legacy Accounts will be transitioned within the year but I would like to learn more about the new platform if possible. Can anyone at Weebly fill me in or is their an online resource other then sales material?
Thank you.

Do you still have your designer account and was it migrated to the new platform, @highvibe?

Hi @Adam
They did not migrate me, just deleted the account. I lost one of my client websites on there but luckily it was already copied. So I lost access to the platform in the transition. The Designer Platform was active on one of my two accounts - the one connected to antonio@dailypassion dot com
Thanks for the support Adam!

Ahh, ok. I don't there's a way to migrate a deleted account to the new platform, so you'd have to make a new one (which would be unavailable for the grandfathered plan, unfortunately).

Hi @Adam,
I am not following you...
I have had (2) Weebly Pro accounts for many years. For a while they were both eligible to have the Desiger Platform active, but when Weebly started making changes to the dashboard Interface I chose to keep one on the designer platform and let the other one revert to the new non-desiger dashboard. So I have always had at least one desiger platform account going until these recent changes. And I had at least one website linked to the platform which was an account of a clients that I did not pay much attention to as we managed to have her website copied to different account and I just kept her website also in my deigner account as a backup.
So I am not sure what you mean by a 'deleted account'. If Weebly migrated all customers that had a Designer Platform in the old system to the new one, then there should for sure be one there associated with account. That is where I ran into a problem recently as I tried to log in to the new designer platform and was not able to with either of my Weebly account log in's. So I created a new login with a new email address just to see what the new platform looked like.
So, again, have always had Designer Platform and maybe my account was overlooked in the migration because it is a grandfathered older Weebly account?
Thanks for the support,
Antonio

Hi @Bernadette !
Thanks for the message. I am not getting notified when one of you replies unless you tag me in the message so apologies for my delayed response.
I have a gradfathred weebly account so I have 10 websites linked to my Pro account. The account that had the Deisgner Platform on it was associated with antonio@dailypassion dot com ~ One of the many websites under this account is AntonioAversano.com And I called my designer platform Soul Flow Designs.
All of this came to my awareness because of the even more recent changes you all made with the new dashboard (which I very much dislike by the way) and the fact that I was no longer able to access the store from the old dashboard setup toolbar which was assoacited with the deisgner account that I consiously kept going because I liked the look of the older dashboard interface than the new one.
Thanks for your support and I look forward to getting back into the Designer Platform as, I am sure you can imagine, people are asking me to make them websites with this new move to 'virtual offerings'.
In Gratitude,
Antonio

Thanks for the explanation. If I recall, we deactivated users from the designer platform if they did not have any client sites. As far as the dashboard goes, all accounts will be upgraded to the new dashboard layout. Once this is completed, you will have access to the store tab again. I apologize in advance if I am not understanding the issue correctly. Please let me know.
Thanks, @highvibe

Hello @Bernadette and @Adam
I did have one active website on there - of course I can not go back and look to confirm that right now without access the account. And it again was a backup site for that client. It also does not feel fair or friendly to your long time customers that you would just remove the designer platform just because at the moment you all decided to change the platform and that your Weebly Desigers just happened to be wheerever we are with our business model at that moment. The reality is that I will use it now and would like it to be re-activated on my account as it was for many years. I hope you will act in good faith with me and do this for one of your longest standing Weebly customers. With all that I have endured through all of your changes, offering me the Desiger Pro plan back on my account seems like a small action to take to thank me for being with the company for so long and for intrdocuing many many people to Weebly over the past 10 years ~ regardless if it was all through the designer platform. I've kept the 2 grandfathered accounts with Weebly since 2012 as it allows me to continue to build websites for clients and friends.
Thank you for the support and thanks for tagging me here so I could see that you replied today. 🙂

Hi again. I think there's some confusion on your previous designer account. You may have had the designer platform, but none of the sites were used as "client" sites. You have a grandfathered Pro account that allows you to have 10 sites on Pro hosting for one low price. I think this is how you were using the designer platform. The system would not have converted you to the main platform if any of the sites were active "client" sites. Your grandfathered Pro plan is still active in your account, though, and you can continue to use it as before.

Hi Again @Bernadette,
I am not confused about the designer platform. Just because I did not have an active 'client site' when Weebly did the change over does not mean I had not and wiil not still use the Designer Platform which I have had on my account since the beginning. And, from the run around you and @Adam seem to be giving me, it sounds like you are not wanting to extend the same offer to me of grandfathering me into the Desiger Pro plan as you did with other customers who were equally unhappy with the way Weebly transitioned this platform. Seems odd that you would want to penalize me being such a long standing Weebly customer just because I was not actively using the Deisgner Platform at the time of the change and might be a little late at catching that the Designer Platform had disappeared from my access. That again doesn't mean I didn't use and won't use it or I wouldn't have spent all this time writng back and forth with you.
Thank you for your attention.

Hi @Bernadette and @Adam
Haven't heard a response from you lately. Wondering if you are still on the job over there. I know we are all in uncharted territory these days and hope you are both doing well. Looking forward to your reply when you get to this.
Thank You

We're busy as you might expect, but we're still here! Do you have any open cases with our support team? I think it might make the most sense to get your request redirected to our Designer team. I don't know if it's even possible to grandfather you in, but they would know best.

Thanks @Adam
Appreciate you following this and I again did not know you replied beause there was no tag in your system asks me to have to click the 'email me when someone replies' every time you write a new message here. Not very convenient.
And, to be honest, feels like I am getting the run around here. Open case? We've been going back and forth here for how long and now you are asking me if I have an open case? That does not feel so good to read and again feels like a run around.
I reached out here because I read the previous messages in this thread with some upset customers and then eventually a little compassion and understanding from Weebly for those of us who previously had the deisgner platform on our accounts and Weebly offering them the pro designer account as a courtesy because we had always had it on our accounts. I thought that me taking the time to explain my situation and reaching out here and sharing would be met with a similar understanding and offer to activate the pro designer platform that I've always had - even if I was not using it in its fullest capacity at the time things switched over.
So opening a case seems like a waste of time at this point as you have been my support team on here and know my situation after all of these many messages.
Thanks for your response and feels like I am at your mercy.
Antonio
