Free Weebly plan and Weebly Pro plan

I have created a Weebly Free web site in my name and email address for my brother who is 80 years old and knows absolutely nothing about this stuff. He a been an amiture photographer for the past 60 years and the web site I built for him is a Weebly free plan. He is in a government assisted living center and has zero money to do the upgrade to a pro plan.

Fianlly, here is my questions.

I now want to build my own website but with a Weebly paid Pro plan using the same email address as I used in the one I made for my brother, as mentioned above.

If I buy a Weebly Pro plan for myself, will I still be able to keep the Weebly free plan that I built for my brother or will I have to upgrade his Weebly free plan to a pro plan first before I can buy one for myself?

My brother is so happy to see his photography and both of us would be crused if that Weebly free site was lost.

Hope this makes some sense.

Weebly allows up to 10 sites per e-mail address.  They could all be FREE or have PAID hosting plan.  You can have a paid plan and keep the free site.

So, just to be sure; I can just leave the free site as it is, then buy a brand new Weebly Pro plan and this should work fine without affecting the free plan, right?

Yes.  Many people first create a free site and when they are ready upgrade the site.

I don't want to upgrade the free site - I want to keep the free site. Now I want to buy a new paid Pro plan in addition to the free plan.

So when I'm all done purchasing the paid Pro plan, I can login to the free site and make changes and I can then log out of it (the free site that is) and then login to my Weebly paid Pro plan and work on it.

Again, it is very important that I can keep the free plan and that it will not be disturbed by me buying a new paid Pro plan.

This sound like it will work and be exceptable to Weebly?

You misunderstood.  Keep your free site, create another free site in the same account and when you are ready purchase the pro subscription.  Leave your free site alone

@NJRFTF or @Adam can you explain this better?

Also, when you create another site don't say that you want to create a store or sell stuff.  Even if you want to sell stuff you can do it later with the pro plan

@lar

I'll try to clarify the situation.

As @bobafett has advised, you can have up to 10 websites on a Weebly account registered to a single email. Those websites could be all free or all pro or any mixture of free and pro (or any other paid accounts). So you can leave your brothers website as free and add another website as pro. All you have to do is to add another website - this will automatically be a free website - then, when you're ready, upgrade that website only from a free website to a pro website. Your brother's existing free website will be unaffected and remain published as is. Any paid plan will only be applied to your new website.

@bobafett is also correct about not choosing to create a store. This takes you to the Square website editor which has much less functionality than the Weebly editor.

BTW, as an amateur photographer of 40+ years, I'm keen to see your brother's work. Would you share the address, either here or privately?

Regards, Gary
