Page not found when connecting to domain
Hi,
I am trying to connect the domain name "therebel.be" to the weebly site "tapastherebel.weebly.com".
Followed all instructions carefully, setup the DNS correctly with my DNS provider but I get a "404 Page not found" error.
I tried the connecting it again and republishing but to no avail.
What is wrong here?
What is also confusing is that you can connect your domain from the main dashboard but also from the website editor.
The two different processes ask you to use different IP addresses in the DNS setup. Which to use?
Here are the screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/iIsx2Wa
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Stephane

@Stephane1 : It is true that weebly instructions are not very clear - they can be confusing. But, did you also buy the hosting package from them to attach your domain? If you did then wait for a while. Often some domain extensions take some time.

Tried both the processes to connect a domain to the site (the processes yield different ip addresses for the DNS setup), still not working...

Very sorry for the confusion, @Stephane1
Where is your domain name registered? I recommend following the instructions that are shown in your first screenshot. If you have already updated to this IP address, we will need to wait up to 48 hours until the domain has fully resolved.

The domain name is registered with Telenet. It is a big provider in Belgium. Its subsidiary "Hostbasket.com" handles the DNS services.
I have now updated the A records to point to the "199.34.228.77" IP address as per your instructions, did an nslookup on it, it links to the correct IP address now. But still no luck

Are there any other things we can try?
Kind regards,
Stephane

When was the last time you made changes to the dns? We may have to give it another day to be on the safe side.
Edit: I checked the SSL setting again, and now it looks like it wants you to use the IP 199.34.228.74

Hi Bernadette!
The site is working now as expected.
But I am still using the the IP address that was shown in the editor (199.34.228.77)
After enabling the SSL feature in the editor, the page loads correctly, so I don't think I should change the IP address to (199.34.228.74)!
Thanks for your assistance!
Kind regards,
Stephane
