It's frustrating beceause i don't find anty clear information on the quantity of started websites that you can have, and i really need to to put a custom domain on that third website

Thanks !

Hi @risbomon,

Regardless of whether or not you have paid hosting on any of your sites, you can have up to 10 sites within one account. Yes, two of your three sites have Starter plans, and the third is a free site. If you would like Starter or any other plan on that site, you would need to upgrade that site.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick answer Smiley Happy

Why can't i have all the Stater package privileges with each of my 10 websites ? These are created under my account with a starter option and i can't enjoy them ... If i can edit my domain name of change the footer on only 2 sites, it's really unconvinient !

I truely didn't understood that like this when i signed up for 2 years Smiley Sad .... If this is the case, you should clarify that the starter options are availables for only 2 websites. If i have 10 domains, i want to be able to associate those with my websites created via Weebly. In fact, i don't even need 10 of them, very likely 3 or 4.

@risbomon, it's not that the hosting package applies to a limit of 2 sites. It's that you need to buy a hosting package for each individual site you have. You have paid for 2 Starter packages, so you have those features on 2 sites in your account. If you want 10 sites that all have Starter features, you would have to pay for 10 different Starter packages.

Wow, it's only now that i see that i bought 2 starter packages ... It's really surprising, i wasn't even conscious of this. Is there a way to stay with only one starter package and cancel the second ?

This is the sign that all this was really confusing, if i knew how it's working, i wouldn't have paid a double 2 years subcribtion, especially when the second page was only a temporary launching page... that i'll shut down in a few weeks.

All this leave me the unplaisant feeling that i thrown 120$  through the window, and this is even more frustrating because until now i loved Weebly...

This is a similar question for the admisitrators reguarding the number of sites and attached/attaching domains.

From what I've read here, it seems that if you purchase a plan you can have up to 10 sites but only one of them will have the features of connecting a preowned domain to it. If this is true, it is unfortunate because this is EXTREMELY unclear on the pricing/plans purchase page.

I purchased the annual starter package. I purchased this particular package because I didn't need all of the features that the Pro/Premium packages have. I also purchased this package with the impression that I would have 10 sites in which I could use "an existing domain name free with purchse." If this is not the case, this will pose a distinct problem for me as I own 3 domain names. I went with Weebly.com on the impression of this pretense as these are the only terms I was able to find prior to purchase in refernce to connecting domains.

I've attached one domain to the starter package site and I would like to attach my existing 2 domains to the sites I've built without having to purchase another starter package (or any other package). I find it hard to believe that if I purchase a package, expecially a more expensive package with more features, that I would have to purchase the same package for each one of my domain names.

While, I get that offering the "Free" sites allows Weebly.com a certain level of advertising but why not just offer that instead of the trail to those who don't want to/can't pay.  I don't understand why paying customers whom you promised 10 sites to have to continue to pay more to add a domain name to the purchase sites.

Hello totallywow! Sorry for the confusion. The hosting plans are indeed per site, rather than per account. As a result, attaching an external domain to more than one site would require more than one plan.

If you were only looking to attach the domain, rather than looking at the other features of the plan itself, it may be easier to simply transfer or register through Weebly directly. That will allow you to use the domain on a site without purchasing a plan on it.

Hello Queso. Thank you for your response. I guess one of my major issues is this is not clear prior to purchasing. As mentioned, the verbiage only states that you can have up to 10 sites per account but there is no mention of how many domain names can be connected to the account.

Is this also the case for the free domain given? Can I only use it for one of the 10 sites that I have for the account?

Additionally, so I'm clear, I get 10 free domains with each account. I'll need 3 accounts so Ioverall, I'll have 30 domains 27 free and 3 paid and I would have spent $288. Is this correct? This doesn't make ANY sense to me but is this the way the plans are set up?

Where domains are concerned, the credit that would come with a plan would be for one full domain. The domain itself would only be assigned to a single site, though you can make subdomains of it if you'd prefer.

You can, of course, put a free Weebly subdomain on any Weebly site, as well.

It sounds like you had a particular plan in mind for your sites. What were you looking to build?
