Domain already in use, even when I unpublish the other site

As the title says, when I unpublish a site and try to set the domain to another under the same client, it still comes up with 'domain already in use'.

If a mod has a look at my account, I need the domain switching to 'EEC SANDBOX!' under the same client.

I have left a support ticket and tried calling (gave up after 30min).

Please help ASAP, this feels like a bug.

After unpublishing you'll need to update the site address to something other than the domain name - that should free it up for use with another site.
