Thank you all for your help with Paying Invoices with Square Gift Cards! We're so excited to announce this has officially launched to the rest of Square.
The Request cycle can sometimes seem like it is taking along time to get to launch, but it is never far from our minds. This beta is a great example of how community requests and your feedback are driving change in our products, to make them better and more useful for your business.
Thanks to you we've officially launched paying Square invoices with a physical or electronic gift card, even if the gift card does not cover the full balance. This gives your customers a new, convenient option for paying invoices.
Once you’re set up to sell gift cards, let customers know by specifying the payment methods you accept (credit/debit card, gift card or both) when you create a new invoice or in invoice settings.
To take full advantage of this feature, make sure to upgrade to the latest version of the Invoices or Square Point of Sale app.

Note: This feature is available to sellers with an iOS device or via your Square Dashboard. The ability to accept gift cards and specify accepted payment methods on Android devices is coming soon!
