Automatically add images to items

Hello all,

I have a bookshop, and if I manually add an item on the till by scanning the book's ISBN / GTIN number then it automatically fills in the book's information include the book title, author, and an image!

However I don't manually add all of my items individually as that would take far too long, instead I import/upload an excel spreadsheet with all the information (including GTIN) into my library.

I was wondering if there's a way for it to automatically fetch the images using the GTIN to add to my items? It would be super convinient because the only way so far I could do it is to manually download all the book covers and add them one by one to each item which is just not feasible.

At this time, it is not possible to auto-populate the images associated with the GTIN look-up, when importing items in bulk. However, I’ve reached out to our product development team, who have made a note of the use-case you’ve described, and your feedback.

They have also confirmed that while this has been discussed in the past, there are no immediate plans to build out a feature that will address the need. With that in mind, I’ve moved your post to our feature request board, as this is the best place to ensure visibility over your request. 

I’ll be sure to keep an eye on any future conversations around this topic, and update you here if there is any movement.
