Feature Request - Customer tender button

What do I need to do to make my square stand compatible with Waitr delivery service? Waitr has asked me to have a Waitr tender button added to my pos.

Square doesn’t have the ability to modify the tender options at this point. 

There is an Other Tender type, though, that will ask you for a name of the type of tender. This is how I ring in all my DoorDash delivery orders. It should work for Waitr.

I'm looking for this, too—specifically for use with Waitr. Though I don't look forward to it, I expect Waitr to soon expand service to our town. There obviously isn't a Waitr<>Square integration, and from what I can tell about how Waitr works, there never will be.

That said, if Waitr is forced upon us, being able to add a custom tender button would be very helpful. It would be a far better workflow to have a custom tender button rather than an "other" that requires the staff to type in a value each time it is used.

Outside of Waitr, I'm sure sellers using Square for Restaurants, Square for Retail, or Square Point of Sale could find many other uses for custom tender buttons to track various things.

I agree it'd be handy to be able to add your own customer tender options, especially if you take a range of "other" payments - I'll pass your feedback on to our POS product team. I've moved this thread to our Feature Requests board so we can better track feedback on this one moving forward.
