same thing I did before I used Square 🙂 I have a printed form that I filled out and kept the bottom half for me and gave the top half to the customer.
You also can ask if they want their receipt emailed.
So far the whole year I have been using Square, only one person asked for an actual receipt because they did not have an email address

Either use their email address or phone number for text.
Or you can get a receipt printer.
I don't know what your situation is but they have printers for stores and mobile.
