Thank you Charlie for taking the time to respond to my post. I am using Square for Retail because I have both an ice cream store and a gift shop with an online store/curbside ordering etc.
I do not see a grid so I wonder if it's a software thing. I'll add *** to the front of the item names that I want to be at the top for now. It's a quick fix but I hope they can allow moving the items around in the future.
I was wondering if you knew anything about printing and how the tickets come out with a larger font now then they did with the pos tablets. This is an issue for us because some of the items like Waffle Cone Sprinkles, which has always been on one line now will come out as Waffle Cone on the first line then Sprinkles on the next line. This could get confusing and a team member could put sprinkles on the ice cream instead of grabbling the Waffle Cone with Sprinkles on the rim. Which then will be loss in profits over time.
It is things like this that has kept me from fully appreciating this new expensive register I just purchased. I've spent the last two days trying to figure things out. And I have called square support 5 times as well.
