Will Square work with no Internet or network?
We are running a concession stand with no internet. Our understanding is once we get home to an internet connection, we can process the sales. We understand that sales that we will lose money on any sales that gets declined. Which Square hardware do we need to purchase to support offline credit card sales. How many credit cards sales can the square handle in memory prior to obtaining an internet connection?

to do offline sales, you will need a magnetic stripe reader, as the chip reader will not work without internet access. you can use your phone or an iPad. you are correct, you will lose out on declined cards, and your device will sync all your sales once you establish an internet connection. there isn't a limit to how many, but there is a 72-hour window from when you swipe to when you go back online, once you are past that all transactions will be declined older than 72 hours.
I would recommend highly finding access or tethering. if you can't then at least get your device back on the internet every night to update the offline transactions. it will take a couple to 15 minutes to get them all online and in your square dashboard.
