Transaction Fees on Only Credit Card Transactions

I would like to set up our system to have items without the transaction fee, but apply a transaction fee for credit card payments.  The way we currently have our system set up, all transactions would have the fee on them.  We do not want people paying cash to have the transaction fee.  Is this possible?

Hey @VillagePool- Are you talking about surcharges when you use the term "transaction fees"?

Thank you for contacting us.  The extra fee is to cover the cost we are charged by square for the transaction.

Unlike card payments, cash payments are not subjected to transaction fees. Square only records those transactions without processing any funds. 

For card payments, the fee is taken off the top (after tip and taxes are collected and discounts applied if any). Learn more on how Square's fees work here.
