Suggested Donation for Item
Hi everyone!
I'm setting up Square for my non-profit. We are selling apparel for fixed prices (hoodies for $25 and t-shirts for $10). But we are also offering mugs for a suggested donation of $5. The apparel costs aren't flexible (I mean, I suppose someone could give $50 for one hoodie if they really wanted to...), but a mug could be given out for $0 or $2 or $5 or $30... Whatever the customer wants.
Is there a way to set this up in Square? Where I can add the mug to the cart and adjust the cost of the item? Or should I add it to the cart as a $0 item and then also add a donation for whatever value they want to give?
Any suggestions from anyone else in a similar situation?

@RKor4 Great question!
You can just leave the price blank and then it would be a "Variable Price" that you would enter when ringing up.
You can also set the Item Name as "Mug - S.D. $5" or in the Description put "Suggest Donation $5" or something like that so that whoever is ringing up knows the suggested price, but every time you add it to the cart, it would ask you to enter the price.
Let me know if this works for you, or if you need another solution!
