Square Register Question

Hi there!

We want to use the square Register because we like the black. However we don’t want to use the customer display. Is that possible?

We just want to print receipts for signing/tipping.

You can detach the customer display and use the provided cable to use it as a card chip reader (to take payments) but still print paper receipts for your customer to sign. 

Without the chip reader attached (either with the cable or clicked into the main unit) you won't be able to accept chip/swipe/tap payments. Just a heads up.

We use the Register in 10 locations and highly recommend it.

@TBHospitalityNY is spot on with this one. It's not currently possible to use the Register without the customer facing display. You can however customize your receipt options from the Register Settings tab - that way you can opt into only giving physical receipts for you purchases in lieu of digital receipts.
