Should I set qty button to true or to false

I haven't been able to find out the meaning of true/false wrt to the quantity (Qty) button on an item. Any explanations? (Screenshot attached)

Oh, you hit on it! It was a custom attribute that I must have set at some point. I was probably trying to learn how the custom attribute setting worked. I'm still not sure about that, but at least I was able to delete the toggle. Thank you!

@SunwarmGardens That's a good question, and I do not have an answer for you, unfortunately.  I do not see that when I am creating an item.  What version of Square are you using?  POS, Retail, for restaurants?

I guess it's the retail version. I sell flowers and bouquets from my farm, online and at the farmers market.

Retail is a paid-for version of Square that you pay monthly for.  I have asked upstream to see if someone has an answer. Hopefully, I'll get an update.

In the Free Retail version I do not see the Option for True False either.

Where did you get your Square system from or the App?  Did you get them from a 3rd party that may have this option?  Could be a custom design by them for you... just guessing.

Actually Square has free retail option, The Free POS, A FREE Retail version (not as powerful as the Paid Version) and the Paid Retail Version with more options enabled Like Cost of Goods Sold Team management etc... I use the Free Version and I get the below Screen Shot when I log in to upgrade every so often.  The Free version is better than Square POS, but not as good as the paid version.  The Bold items are enabled for the Free version and the Paid Version gets the Greyed out options as well.  I believe the Free Square POS has none of these options.... I could be wrong though.

I know you like to help others and this way you can inform them of this option too.

Yes, there is a free limited version of the retail app.  The free Square POS app has inventory and barcode scanning.  The retail version is built around most everything being barcode scanned vs Square POS is built around picking items from the grids you set up in addition to scanning barcodes.

I don't have an answer to this, but a wild guess an friendly bump I would say that it maybe is leading to a feature with being able to sell backstock?
